MiFi 2372

This new offering puts forth a seamless mobile broadband solution and delights individuals with instant internet access virtually anywhere. AT&T has slid the wraps off the Mobile Hotspot MiFi 2372 from Novatel Wireless. The company claims to be the first to offer a Mobile Hotspot from Novatel Wireless integrated with MiFi OS, widgets and applications support.

The offering functions on AT&T’s HSPA 7.2 network without any interruption and provides users with simultaneous Wi-Fi connectivity for around five devices. The MiFi 2372 boasts of its ability to connect various Wi-Fi-enabled devices within 30 feet distance, including cameras, PCs, tablets, digital media players and gaming consoles. The GPS-enabled solution provides owners with effortless connectivity for location-based services.

“No matter if your holiday travels take you to sandy beaches or snowy slopes, the MiFi 2372 Mobile Hotspot will help you connect to the devices and content that matter most,” remarked Michael Woodward, vice president, Mobile Phone Portfolio, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

The storage space is augmented since the device comes equipped with a microSDHC slot up to 32GB. The company highlights that individuals will have to pick up a microSDHC card as it is not packed in with the device. The performance is uplifted since the unit enhances uploads or downloads and transfer of large files.

“We congratulate AT&T on its introduction of the MiFi 2372 with the MiFi OS, widgets and applications support,” commented Peter Leparulo, chairman and CEO of Novatel Wireless. “The AT&T MiFi 2372 introduces intelligence and added capabilities beyond pure Internet connectivity and is a great complement to AT&T’s.

Powered by the Novatel Wireless MiFi OS, the device offers swift browser-based access to exciting widgets like SMS and data usage, and GPS-enabled widgets like GeoWeather and GeoSearch.

The AT&T Mobile Hotspot MiFi 2372 can be purchased via several AT&T stores nationwide or the official website for $49.99 (approx Rs. 2,269) after $100 (approx Rs. 4,539) mail-in rebate. The offering is anticipated to be available by November 21, 2010.
