Asus Eee keyboard to launch in August

Asus is all set to launch the Eee keyboard at the end of August, reports Engadget. This PC-in-a-keyboard had made its debut at the CES, this year. This sort-of weird keyboard is said to be a controllable media center designed for home use.

Well, this keyboard is highly portable and is said to perform various tasks efficiently. It can also stream high definition video files and store them on the 32GB SSD. A wide-band HDMI standard allows users to view the streamed videos on a LCD TV or any external monitor. The 5-inch touchscreen assists in connecting the Internet via Wi-Fi connectivity. Users can also send and receive e-mails, shop online and access all the application and sites of their choice.

Apparently, the keyboard is also said to feature Ethernet port, speakers and mic. The keyboard may incorporate either Windows XP or Moblin operating system. The company is yet to clarify which version it will release.

Although the company has specified that the Asus Eee keyboard will be released by the end of August, it has chose to remain silent about the pricing.
