Incorporating touch sensitivity in gadgets is the latest trend in the market. A host of modern gadgets now incorporate multi-touch capability. Following this trend, Apple has introduced the Magic Mouse. The Apple Magic Mouse is said to be the world’s first multi-touch mouse.

The seamless touch-sensitive body of this mouse allows users to use it as a single or multi-button mouse. The intuitive gestures allow users to easily navigate through long documents, images and web pages. This mouse can be used by both left as well as right handed users.

“Apple is the Multi-Touch leader, pioneering the use of this innovative technology in iPhone, iPod touch and Mac notebook trackpads,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Apple’s Multi-Touch technology allows us to offer an easy to use mouse in a simple and elegant design.”

The latest laser tracking engine provides advantage over the traditional optical tracking system. This Bluetooth enabled mouse wirelessly connects the computer and eliminates the clutter of wires. The advanced power management system automatically switches to low power modes when the system is idle. The Magic Mouse is powered by two AA batteries.

The Apple Magic Mouse will be made available with the all new iMac by the end of this month. The mouse can be purchased online from the Apple Store as well as from Apple’s retail stores and authorized resellers. The Magic Mouse is priced at $69.
