Edimax has announced the availability of the latest IT computing accessory in the Indian market, called the BR-6204W. It is a wireless 802.11b/g broadband router that comes paired with 4 ports switch, ensuring all the documentations to be ready for instant access.
It supports IEEE802.11b/g connection with data transfer rate up to 54Mbps, 64/128 Bit WEP and WPA Encryption, WAN Connection by PPPoE/Static IP/Dynamic IP/PPTP/DHCP/L2TP, WDS and DDNS (DynDNS) function and VPN Pass Through (IPSec/PPTP). By using the wireless turbo mode, users will get an increased wireless performance by 35% as compared to the conventional wireless 802.11b/g connection.
The inclusion of the illustrated EZ max multi language setup wizard makes the basic setup simple. With this, users can easily connect the router to a computer and broadband modem, configure all the computers on the network and also configure the router. Moreover, the wireless broadband router has the ability to enhance Cable or xDSL Internet connection.
Equipped with DHCP server and NAT server and NAT function, the BR-6204W allows up to 250 wired or wireless devices to share the Internet connection simultaneously.
Compatible with port forwarding and DMZ, the wireless router from Edimax comes bundled with a detachable antenna for further enhancement to enjoy ultimate speed.
Besides, the BR-6204W also incorporates the push button on the back panel for users to easily switch on/off wireless connection. Further, it claims to avoid unauthorized wireless connection.
Although the price is unknown, the Edimax wireless BR-6204W broadband router is available at all Edimax authorized retail counters in addition to Jupiter International and Neoteric Informatique in India.
