Plantronics unveils its latest lightweight Bluetooth headset, dubbed Voyager 835. It promises to offer better-quality voice with enhanced noise canceling technologies.
The Plantronics Dual-Mic AudioIQ noise canceling technology is included into the headset to optimize audio levels through its combined DSP algorithm and dual microphones functionalities. With the dual-microphones, the Bluetooth headset precisely isolates voice signals. While one microphone captures voice, the second microphone recognizes background noise and confiscates it.
Additionally, it also incorporates the company’s WindSmart technology to filter and decrease wind distortion, ensuring comprehensive noise-cancellation without over-processing audio.
“The Voyager 835 is designed to defeat wind and other background noise in a variety of real-world environments, such as a busy city street, crowded restaurant or car with the air conditioning blowing. By focusing on everyday call scenarios, Plantronics developed a headset that provides exactly what consumers want: brilliant, true-to-life audio on both sides of a conversation that doesn’t succumb to noisy environments and never sounds unnatural,” said Renee Niemi, general manager and vice president, Mobile & Entertainment for Plantronics, Inc.
At below 12 grams, the Voyager 835 conforms the company’s strict acoustic fit criteria with its contoured and universal-fit eartips. This ensures a gentle rest of the headset on the users. It also makes sure that the sound directly enters into the ear canal for better clarity. The inclusion of slim yet highly durable ear loop secures the headset with comfort.
Users can control volume and calls. Talking about calls, the headset also features multipoint technology which allows users to take calls from any two Bluetooth phones. The headset offer a talk time of up to five hours and a stand-by time of up to five days.
Expected to be available at select CE retailers by October 2008, the Plantronics Voyager 835 Bluetooth headset has a price tag of $119.95 (approx. Rs. 5,503).
