After the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave keyboard-and-mouse combo, the company has launched the second-generation peripheral, called Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro. Logitech introduced a keyboard and re-chargeable MX1100 cordless laser mouse for highest level of comfort. However, the mouse is sold separately.
Logitech has designed the latest Wave Pro by unifying three distinctive elements, namely an innovative wave key frame, a U-shaped constant curve and a cushioned, contoured palm rest. It promises to provide a naturally comfortable typing experience, thanks to the comfort wave design that guides users’ hands and cradles their fingers. While, the mouse is developed to offer maintain the naturally curved shape of your hand through its stylish contoured, full-size shape.
Denis Pavillard, vice president of product marketing for Logitech’s keyboards and desktops, commented, “Independent research clearly demonstrates that the Wave Keyboard can help improve the comfort of your typing experience. The keyboard’s wave-like shape is popular because it provides comfort without requiring people relearn how to type, unlike traditional ergonomic keyboards. And with the addition of the MX1100 mouse, which was designed according to ergonomic principles, our new desktop gives you even more comfort than the original Logitech Desktop Cordless Wave.”
Supporting Logitech’s advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology, the latest Wave Pro ensures a secured and reliable signal in a busy wireless environment. Its 2.4 GHz wireless technology promises to offer 300 times faster during exchanging data between the receiver and the cordless mouse, and 800 times faster while using cordless keyboards.
A three-year keyboard battery life is also available by optimizing the power management system via the improved wireless technology.
Coming to the optional MX1100 mouse, it enables you to plug-in into the computer’s USB port for charging and operating simultaneously. On charging for 15 minutes, you will appreciate a day’s battery life; and a 7-hour charging offers up to six weeks of continuous operation. For more convenience and power, you can plug the USB cable into the included AC adaptor.
With the help of the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, the mouse provides two scrolling modes namely, hyper-fast scrolling for rapidly and flawlessly going through long documents and web pages. It is compatible with eight programmable buttons for easy maneuver quickly. The MX1100 sports adjustable dpi (up to 1,600 dpi) for editing an image with ease, a stealth thumb button to create application switching easy and zoom controls.
Expected to be rolled out for an estimated price $129.99 (approx. Rs. 5,687), the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro will be available in the U.S. from October and in Europe by mid-November. The Logitech MX1100 Cordless Laser Mouse is priced at $79.99 (approx. Rs. 3,499). It will be making its way in stores in U.S. by late August and in Europe beginning mid-September.
