Newer Technology has launched the first “Quad Interface†SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station, called the NewerTech Voyager. The peripheral can work effectively on four interfaces, namely FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB 2.0, and eSATA.
All you need to do is place any 2.5″ or 3.5″ Serial ATA (SATA) I/II hard drive up to 2.0TB into the Voyager’s compact docking base, eliminating the need of installation and configuration. The next step is to select one interface from the four available, which shows compatibility with the PC/Mac. It promises to offer read/write data speeds of up to 3.0 Gbps.
Measureing 5.28 x 3.70 x 2.68-inches and weighing 1.35lbs, the plug-and-play docking station provides hot-swap functionality to offer fast access of multiple drives while the computer is in use.
After the process of transferring data is completed, the included push button enables users to eject the drive safely and effortlessly. The same button also lets users insert t the drive onto the docking station. Besides, it comes embedded with 2 color status LED to indicate the disk activity. The RoHS compliant Voyager ensures whisper quiet operation.
