Today Epson announced the launch of Stylus CX5500 All in One printer in the country.
The new printer offers flexibility of accepting ink cartridges of different capacities depending on the requirement of the work. Besides, the CX5500 makes printing more economical by supporting two kinds of inks- Standard ink cartridges and Low Cost ink cartridges.
Moreover, the INKdividual system makes it possible to replace only color which has run out instead of changing the whole set of inks.
Some f the other features of the Epson Stylus CX5500 printer are:
Epson Stylus CX5500 will be available in the Indian market at the price of RS. 5499. While, its cartridges will cost Rs.460 for standard ink and Rs. 250 for Low Cost ink. The printer will be available in the market from this month and will be backed by two years warranty.
i am keen to buy a all-in-one printer for home use.plz suggest a good printer in the price of Rs 5000/-or less among canon/HP/Epson models
In my point of view epson CX5500 is the best printer in whole world as it is affordable, cheap,gets more pages printed than any other at cheapest.If any buys it his/her world changes by leaps and bound..How amazing is this all in one I cant describe in words .One knows its worth after buying only.
It seems to be a good printer, but would like to compare it with a matching HP printer. Can you/anyone tell me which is a matching HP printer with this model of Epson ?

The printer is good but the print cartridges are not available as in Kangra district of HP as a result of which i am facing problem after purchasing this printer. The quantity of ink is low & after printing 20 pages keep running for cartridge here & there. Therefore I recommend donot fall in trap & buy only HP printer

i think this is the worst printer its ink is 460*4 and 250*4 cost it is very costly and cannot be refilled
The printer really sucks.
1. The printer is very noisy.
2. Looks are very cheap. ( Even a chinese toy is better)
3. The black cartridge ink could print only 10/12 A4 size sheets.
4. The software displays junk chars on Menus and messages which are impossible to read.
Bottomline is Never buy EPSON product.

I purchased CX5500 in June 2008. Without much use I had to take to service centre in July,2008 where black cartridge replaced by them.
Again within 1.5 months the same stoped. In this condition I did not revive it. I purchased 4 new cartridges original on 11/2/09 and fitted when the printer worked not OK. I took the same to service centre ‘Hitech’ at Kolkata on 12/2/2009, but, the same has not been made OK till 27/2/2009 ; although I had urgency for printing and scanning of my daughters’ study matters. the printer has not been used much but, what type of fault has occured I do not know?
I am using epson cx5500 since 2008, in my printing work.It is a good one for my work among the other Trademarks.I take it to services senter when some error occur not nore than 3 times in a year.So I like it so much more than other.

I am using EPSON Stylus CX5500 since Sept 2008. I lost scanner driver during some power problem. I cannot find CD which came with printer. Last few days I am trying to download scanner driver. It is so difficult to download. Can any body help?
