HCL Star-TSP700 Printer Introduced for Rural India

HCL Infosystem today launched the new POS HCL Star – TSP700 printer in India. The company claims that the TSP700 is the first multilingual printer launched in the country. Besides, the new printer exclusively made for rural India, incorporates advanced functions such as Barcode, Label, Receipt and Ticket-printing.

The device is capable of printing up to 150 GSM at 180 mm/second. It prints the mono or two color receipts in just 5.5 seconds.

The HCL printer can print tickets up to 82.5 mm wide and 0.15mmthick/ 150 GSM at a rate of 180 mm/second. Besides, it offers the added choice of partial or full cut-perfect for entrance tickets, product return tickets, transportation tickets, product return tickets, transportation ticketing inside or outside of Kiosks etc.

Moreover the TSP 700 printer can also print labels at 180 mm/second and high quality 2 dimensional barcodes

According to Rajendra Kumar, Executive Vice President,HCL Infosystems, “With the increasing adoption of IT in the towns and villages of India, language applications have increasingly become the order of the day. With this new HCL printer, we have again delivered on our commitment to meet the requirements of our customers.”

He added further, “The new HCL Star-TSP700 is designed to ensure that we leverage the language opportunity growing in the country. We also expect to add to our market share in the POS printer segment as HCL is the only POS printer manufacturer that offers a single station printer capable of printing barcodes, labels, tickets and receipts with built-in Unicode support.”

Though HCL has not revealed the pricing, it says that the Star – TSP700 printer will be available at reasonable price across the country through HCL’s widespread distribution and retail network.
