HTC Desire 526G+ makes its debut in India for Rs 10400

The HTC Desire 526G+ smartphone has been officially launched in India as a mid-range release and it’s the cheapest handset from the company to offer octa core performance. The new addition is tagged at Rs 10400 and it flaunts an attractive design with various entertainment features onboard.

The HTC Desire 526G+ may not look like any of the latest smartphones in the mid-range series, but it does offer a simple design. The front panel is fitted with a 4.7-inch qHD 540 x 960 pixel LCD touchscreen and a 2MP camera. And while there’s no mention of BoomSound speakers, there are two speaker grilles above and below the display.

However, they could be ordinary stereo speakers, so don’t expect anything fancy at this price point. Android 4.4 KitKat and BlinkFeed come preloaded and they gain steam from an octa core processor which is most likely made by MediaTek. Also, the chipset is clocked at 1.7GHz which is pretty great.

And to keep the SOC ticking, there’s a 2000mAh battery onboard. For memory provisions, 1GB of RAM and 8GB or 16GB of flash storage have been provided along with a microSD card slot. The HTC phone also has dual SIM support with 3G and an 8MP rear camera capable of 1080p video recording.
