The Micromax Canvas Duet 2 EG111 that has been making headlines for a while now, has finally been made available in India, not officially though. An e-retailer has listed it as available on its website for a price that lies just under Rs 16,000.
As was rumored, it is a GSM + CDMA dual SIM smartphone and reportedly, is compatible with all CDMA networks in India. The device is graced by a 5.3-inch IPS touchscreen of HD 1280 x 720p resolution and a webcam for facilitating video conferencing. Also, an 8MP snapper has been fitted on the rear side so you can use it for capturing images and videos.
The Micromax Canvas Duet 2 makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS and brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor to take care of its multitasking properties. This chipset can sprint at a maximum speed of 1.2GHz and it is even accompanied by an entire gigabyte of RAM. The phone’s 4GB internal storage can be expanded further by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
It goes without saying that you can expect all the common connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, GPRS and more. A 2300mAh battery resides under the hood and coughs up the juice for talk time of about 4 hours and standby time of close to 150 hours in 2G.
