Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launched in India for an absurdly high price

The wait for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in India is finally over as the smartphone has been officially launched in the country and will go on sale in the next few days. The phone will hit stores on the same day as Apple’s iPhone 6 which is October 17 and it will cost you a whopping Rs 58300.

That’s certainly a premium amount to pay for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but it may be deemed acceptable considering the features it has to offer. While we were expecting to see a Exynos 5 octa core chipset based on the new 64-bit designs from ARM to be featured on the phone, the Korean giant has instead brought the Snapdragon 805 model to India.

This basically means that it will offer the latest Adreno 420 graphics and LTE support. The move seems to be an apt one considering that multiple operators in India are soon to flip the switch on 4G connectivity. As you’d expect, the phone comes with the S Pen stylus and it also carries forward the fingerprint reader and heart rate monitor found on the Galaxy S5 flagship.
