Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 with quad core processor listed online

A brand new Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 which plays successor to the A93 has just appeared on the company’s website. On a couple of counts, it sports better specifications than the Canvas Elenza A93 which was selling for Rs 9400 boasted of. So don’t expect it to cost you anything below Rs 10000.

The Android smartphone can comfortably sit in the phablet section in the market since it sports a 5-inch screen. It improves over the older device on the processor front with a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 chipset standing in for the 1.3GHz dual core one. It’s a pity Micromax didn’t unveil the handset with Android KitKat onboard and chose to stay with Jelly Bean though.

Micromax Canvas Elanza 2

Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 specs at a glance:

– Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS
– 5-inch 720p HD touchscreen
– 8MP rear camera, 2MP webcam
– Quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 chip
– 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory
– Storage expandable to 32GB via microSD card slot
– Dual SIM card support
– 2000mAh battery

The A93 had a 5MP rear camera and a 0.3MP lens above the display. You’ll now find an 8MP one on the back and a 2MP webcam on the front. The amount of time you’ll be spending away from the charging outlet has however, not received much of an improvement, with a 2000mAh battery replacing the 1950mAh power house on the older variant of the smartphone.

Considering the price tag that the successor to the Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 carried, we don’t think the upcoming handset will be pegged below Rs 10000. Let’s wait and watch for more on this.
