ZTE Grand S II with high-end specs launch in India at Rs 13999

The ZTE Grand S II smartphone has entered the Indian market and it comes carrying an aggressive price tag along with high-end features. The phone is available exclusively through Amazon for Rs 13999 and it has specs akin to that of the Nexus 5 handset.

However, unlike the latter, the ZTE Grand S II comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and there doesn’t look to be an update to KitKat arriving any time soon. At the mentioned retail tag, the phone falls in the same category as the new Moto G, but with much better hardware.

The display here is a 5.5-inch 1080p FHD IPS LCD panel and it’s accompanied by a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The primary snapper can be found on the rear rated at 13MP. On the inside, there’s a 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor doing the heavy lifting.

And 2GB of RAM also makes a great addition. For storage, ZTE has included 16GB of memory and a microSD card slot. Other features of the phone include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi ac and a 2500mAh battery. Clearly, the Grand S II is a nice alternative to the Moto G and even Xiaomi’s Redmi Note. And phones with such good hardware are hard to come by in the budget market.
