BlackBerry Z30 to start shipping in India next week

BlackBerry has a new phablet for users in India and it goes by the name of Z30. This is the first ever BlackBerry device to employ a 5-inch touchscreen and is slated to go up for grabs in the country sometime next week. It will set you back by a little less than Rs 40,000.

Even though it is a phablet, the company has refrained from integrating a quad core processor within the gadget. It has to make do with a dual core Qualcomm MSM8960T Pro chipset that ticks at 1.7GHz. Nevertheless, 2GB of RAM has been tossed in to ensure smooth navigation through various applications. Speaking of memory, the handset has 16GB of free space and in case it is insufficient, you can increase it further with a little assistance of a microSD card.

The Z30’s Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen has a density of 295ppi, a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. A 2MP webcam featuring image and video stabilization and the ability to record 720p videos, accompanies the screen, while an 8MP camera with a BSI sensor and flash sits on the rear panel. It can capture 1080p movies as well.
