Nokia Lumia 625 price disclosed for India, pre-orders begin

The Nokia Lumia 625 has made its way into India with official recognition and it has even gone up for pre-order through multiple retailers. And while the smartphone is still listed as coming soon on the country-specific Nokia website and online store, it has been affixed with a Rs 19,999 price.

The Nokia Lumia 625 is a well strategized smartphone. It’s the largest in the company’s Windows Phone lineup, yet highly affordable. The device is a little more expensive than the NL 720, but features similar hardware components. On the inside, the usual Snapdragon S4 dual core processor delivers the steam, at a clock speed of 1.2GHz in this case. There’s 512MB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory with up to 64GB microSD support.

The display size is at 4.7 inches wide which is a tad larger than the current flagship that’s also available in the country, currently tagged at Rs 33,499. The resolution, however, is a disappointment at WVGA 800 x 480 pixels. The panel is coated with Gorilla Glass 2. Accompanying the screen is a VGA webcam, while the rear sports a 5MP camera with 720p HD recording. The device features the Amber update which tags along the WP8 GDR2 release and various new apps (sans Glance Screen).

There are various other benefits bundled with the Nokia Lumia 625. The company is offering roughly Rs 4,275 worth of movies through the Your Movies app, a plethora of free songs, 3GB of HSPA data for 3 months through Docomo, 10GB of Wi-Fi at certain outlets such as McDonalds, Subway as well as Cafe Coffee Day, and more.

The Nokia Lumia 625 can be booked through multiple retailers for the aforementioned price.
