The Micromax Bolt A51 has been listed on the company’s official website in India, but the entry-level device that makes the most of the Android Gingerbread platform is yet to go up for sale in the country. Its price and availability details have not been revealed as of now.
The Bolt A51 is preceded by the A35 which was introduced only last month. It comes across as an entry-level device that can be expected to compete with the likes of Karbonn A3 and A4. This compact handset’s front side is dominated by a decent-sized screen with a multi-touch real estate of 3.5 inches. It works towards rendering clear visuals in 320 x 480p resolution.
Powered by the Google Android version 2.3.7, the phone is loaded with features to keep users entertained while on the move. There’s FM radio as well as a media player compatible with audio and video formats such as MP4, 3GP, MP3, WAV and MIDI amongst others. Apart from a 2MP camera with flash, the device brings a 0.3MP front-mounted webcam to facilitate video conferencing on the move.
Moreover, the gadget in question can also be employed for recording videos of 720 x 486p resolution. The responsibility of keeping it charged for talk time of up to 4.5 hours and standby time of approximately 140 hours, has been assigned to a 1500mAh battery. It is fueled by an 832MHz processor that teams up with 256MB of RAM to maintain smooth multitasking. Although there’s just 512MB of ROM, an expansion slot for a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity has been embedded too.
Complete with a G-sensor, the device with a second SIM card slot sports a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro USB port. The handset has Wi-Fi for wireless web access through hotpots and Bluetooth for data transfer. Needless to say, it can be connected to mobile networks for internet.
The manufacturer has not mentioned the launch details of the Micromax Bolt A51 as yet.
