Intex has launched the Marvel+ and the Swadesh from its Aqua series and it is quite apparent that both these handsets belong to the entry-level category after taking one look at their price details. The former is worth Rs. 3,990, whereas potential buyers can claim the latter at Rs. 3,790.
With the market facing a cut-throat competition amongst Android devices, it’s no longer just about a low retail value anymore. Manufacturers have begun cramming entry-level handsets with quite commendable components, knowing the standard even budget phones are setting in recent times.
Speaking of low-end phone offerings, the first handset has been launched with a capacitive touch screen HVGA display that scales up to 3.5 inches. It comes with a MediaTek chipset which has been clocked at 1GHz. Sadly, there is no front-facing camera, but the integrated 5MP snapper takes care of users’ imaging needs.
Measuring 116mm x 61mm x 11.9mm in dimensions, the smartphone wraps a 1,400mAh battery. The talk time using this power pack sums up to 5 hours, but the device can survive for up to 360 hours on the standby mode.
The next phone’s specification sheet points out that it has been built around a 3.2-inch capacitive touch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Just like the aforesaid device, this one too houses a MediaTek processor possessing a clock speed of 1GHz. A 2MP camera dominates the rear panel and facilitates capturing pictures and videos.
With the help of the 1,200mAh embedded battery, users should be able to reap talk time of up to 3 hours or 120 hours of standby. The 3.5-inch smartphone comes with 95MB of storage, while the 3.2-inch device offers 76MB of the same. But each has been fitted with 512MB of RAM and a microSD card slot which supports expansions of up to 32GB.
The manufacturer has pinned the Aqua Marvel+ and Swadesh with their respective retail tags, but the handsets haven’t entered any of the Indian e-retailers’ thresholds just yet. The device proffering comparatively better specs can also be found in grey, white and yellow, while variants of the other gadget have been splashed with either black and white or black.
