Just like it had been predicted last week, Xolo has officially launched the Q700 in India and the handset from the manufacturer’s QCore series is presently up for grabs at the earlier mentioned price. Unfortunately, Snapdeal which had promised to stock the device in the past, has been unable to stay true to its word. So that makes it one less place to go hunting for the handset.
Since we have already described most of the smartphone’s specifications in our previous article, let’s now focus on some of its other highlights. Xolo has included an app dubbed Switch which permits users to make not one or two, but four profiles. One of these comprises of the Kids Mode.
This profile features parental control which should ensure that children have their fun with the Xolo Q700 without actually altering any significant data, somewhat in the lines of Kids Corner that is found on Windows Phone 8. Another attribute of this app is that it comes with Kids tube which proffers filtered content.
Seeing as how smartphones have become a key part of everyone’s lives, they tend to carry loads of sensitive details which need to be protected. This is exactly why, the handset has been built to offer features such as complete control by single SMS, remote lock, track device location and more.
The phone’s 4.5-inch IPS display which possesses a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels has been infused with OGS technology. This combines the touch sensor on the display with the cover lens. Apart from reducing the production expenses and making the device lighter, it is said to contribute towards rolling out better visuals.
The Xolo Q700 can be seen in stores across India carrying a price tag of Rs. 9,999. It can be bought through Saholic and Infibeam. Flipkart on the other hand has yet to lay its hand on the stock. Although the company has said that the device has been released in two colors, namely coffee brown and trendy blue, it has only arrived in the brown hue as of now.
