Samsung Galaxy S3, S Duos, Note, Ace Duos price slashed in India

Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3, S Duos, Note and Ace Duos have all been blessed with a healthy price cut, bringing their rates down to Rs. 28,900, Rs. 12,900, Rs. 27,500 and Rs. 10,900, respectively. Looks like the South Korean brand is looking at the Valentine’s Day shopping window to boost its sales, and has hence proffered the devices with these permanent slices in their rates which have already come into effect on websites like Flipkart, Saholic, Infibeam and more.

Prior to this, the device was retailing at Rs. 34,900, and this means that a total of Rs. 6000 have been slashed off its tag. Released in May last year, this device come equipped with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, while its other advanced features include a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, an 8MP rear camera, a 1.9MP front snapper and a number of unique technologies. A 1.4GHz quad core chipset as well as 1GB of RAM can also be found inside it.

Phone 2

The newest model among the lot is the S Duos which gets a drop of Rs. 2000. This decent ICS device runs on a 1GHz chipset and displays its visuals on a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. With looks similar to that of the S3, the handset holds a 5MP rear camera, a VGA front snapper as well as dual SIM attributes, with support for GSM cards on both the slots.

Next in line is the original Note phablet which was launched in 2011 to much success. This smartphone features a 5.29-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, and slots in a 1.4GHz dual core processor to back its multi-tasking abilities. Equipped with the Android Gingerbread OS, the device also proffers the benefits of an 8MP snapper and a 2MP secondary camera. It gets a slash of about Rs. 2,500.

Lastly, it’s the Ace Duos which has grabbed a cut on its rate, bringing it down to Rs. 10,900. The affordable dual SIM handset draws on the Android Gingerbread OS, and comprises other specifications such as a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 5MP shooter, an 832MHz processor and more.

These changes to the rates have already come into effect as far as the e-retailers mentioned above are concerned.
