Micromax Ninja A27 price amounts to Rs. 3,499

The Micromax Ninja A27, based on the Gingerbread platform, follows the A89 which went official only recently and has already been put up for sale through multiple retailers across India for a price of Rs. 3,399. It is the newest member to give users a taste of the Android OS without breaking the bank.

The black-colored candy bar handset’s front panel is dominated by a 3.5-inch capacitive multi-touch TFT LCD display of 480 x 320p resolution. Like most other similar wallet-friendly devices, it has been blessed with dual SIM card slots as well. While it connects to GPRS mobile networks, the company has thrown in Wi-Fi for wireless internet access via an open hotspot.

It even allows users to transfer digital stuff to compatible gadgets via Bluetooth and sports a micro USB 2.0 port for tethering peripherals. And for audio accessories, the device is embedded with a 3.5mm standard headphone jack. Besides built-in FM radio, it tags along a media player compliant with common music and video formats like MP3, MP4, 3GP WAV and MIDI.

While the entry-level smartphone lacks a front-mounted webcam, it brings a rear-facing 0.3MP camera which can be employed for the purpose of capturing videos as well. Its ability to multitask can be attributed to a Spreadtrum SC6820 processor ticking at 1GHz. Moreover, the phone is fueled by a 1400mAh battery for offering talk time of close to 4 hours and 30 minutes and standby time of nearly 11 days.

Featuring 256MB of RAM, the handset with 512MB internal memory, provides usable storage of 160MB. An expansion slot is in place for increasing it by up to 16GB with the help of a microSD card. Additionally, it has GPS for accurate turn-by-turn navigation. Needless to say, the device lets customers browse through the Google Play store for downloading applications.
