Some of the Samsung Galaxy S4 specifications were already leaked on the web and now an Antutu benchmark test carried out on the phone has just confirmed them. The flagship device from the South Korean manufacturer is all set to make its debut in New York on March 14, invites for which have already been sent out.
The benchmark result of the Galaxy S4 was spotted by the guys over SamMobile on the Androidiani website. It has been revealed that the 8-core processor-powered device is compatible with GSM, WCDMA as well as LTE mobile networks, which means that the company will not be launching two different variants. The current generation S3 quad core version is not compatible with the LTE network speed and the OEM had designed a separate dual core model to be released in areas with LTE coverage.
According to the test, the handset is powered by the Exynos Octa 5410 chipset which is capable of running at a speed of 1.8GHz. While this powerful chip is responsible for maintaining smooth multitasking and navigation, a PowerVR SGX 544MP graphics processor is expected to render clear visuals. And if that’s not enough, 2GB of RAM has also been added to the mix.
Apparently, it takes advantage of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 platform. Thus, it should bring along functions like Google Now, Filmstrip view, Expandable Notifications and more. The phone’s form factor appears to be slightly bigger than its predecessor’s as the former’s front side is graced by a 4.99-inch full HD capacitive multi-touch display that delivers visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolution.
And snap-happy users will appreciate that this handset is equipped with a 13MP camera which will definitely have the ability to record high definition videos. Apart from this, a 2.1MP front-mounted webcam has been added to the mix to enable prospective users to make face-to-face conference calls over the web. Needless to say that the device also features communication options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC amongst others.
