Smart Namo phablet price in India to be around Rs 21,000

The Smart Namo phablet dedicated to Narendra Modi, is coming to India soon and various reports doing the rounds on the web suggest that it will be priced at around Rs 21,000. The aforementioned tag is most probably of the Namo phone’s version that features 2GB of RAM and its other models should be made available for much less. It is slated to arrive in markets sometime in September.

Namo stands for Next-generation Android Mobile Odyssey and is being manufactured by a team of businessmen who seem to be fans of Gujarat’s CM. They have revealed the specifications of the Smart Namo through their Facebook page, but its exact availability details continue to be under wraps.

According to the manufacturer, the Smart Namo will be the proud owner of a 6.5-inch full HD touchscreen rendering visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolution. Packed into a form factor measuring 172.9 X 93 X 95 millimeters, the device that tips the scales at 230 grams acquires steam from a quad core MTK6589T processor running at a speed of 1.5GHz.

It is likely to come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with an option to expand the latter further using a microSD card. The Smart Namo boasts of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 OS and is fitted with a 13MP camera as well as a 2MP webcam. The dual SIM phone employs a 3150mAh battery too and has been loaded with common features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and more.
