Samsung Galaxy Note ready for a Canada tour, pre-orders open on Best Buy

The Samsung Galaxy Note has decided to greet its fans in Canada around the same time as their American counterparts. The handset is all geared up to reach tech enthusiasts in the country via Best Buy, Rogers, Telus, and Bell. Just a little while earlier, we had reported that the smartphone would unleash across the U.S. through AT&T on February 19.

The Note boasts of a 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen which is the largest one in the entire Galaxy line-up by Samsung. It further displays visuals in a WXGA 1280 x 800p resolution. Although it is accompanied by an S pen, the device supports finger touch as well.

Embedded with a 1.4GHz dual core processor, the phone weighs 178g and bears a 9.65mm slim profile. On the rear panel, there is an 8MP camera complete with LED flash. This allows capturing fun moments in creative forms with image modes like action, beauty, panorama, and smile shot. The front facing secondary camera has a sensor of 2MP and can be used for video calling as well as snapping images.

The Samsung Galaxy Note price has been revealed to be $249.99 (approx. Rs. 12,360) with a three-year agreement by Best Buy Canada for both Telus and Bell. However, the Bell Shop Now page on this website hints at a $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,890) price tag. Release date and pricing details have not been revealed by Rogers yet, but the device is expected soon. Eager customers can walk in to a Best Buy Mobile store to pre-order their Note.
