BlackBerry India price revisions announced

BlackBerry Torch 9860

The BlackBerry India price cuts will obviously be welcomed by fans of RIM smartphones, no questions asked. Last year witnessed a range of device models venturing into the country. Starting from an entry level phone like the Curve 8520 to the Torch 9860 as well as the Curve 9360 and the 9380, many RIM offerings were launched into the market.

It was just recently that the PlayBook tag was dropped and now we see a clear price cut in all of the aforementioned handsets. With regards to the present rates, the Curve 8520 price is tagged at Rs 8,999 and that means a reduction of nearly 18%, from its earlier Rs. 10,990 label. While users would have been set back by Rs. 29,990 for a Torch 9360, the same can be purchased now for a price of Rs. 21,990. This amounts to a nearly 18% price cut from its initial cost.
