It will soon be made available in Germany, Sweden, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Portugal, but the exact shipping date is yet to be revealed. The device was initially introduced in Korea and was later put up on sale in Japan, Canada as well as the US.

As the name suggests, the smartphone in question tags along support for the faster LTE connectivity to offer swift web access in addition to HD multimedia attributes. Its front panel is dominated by a True HD IPS display that offers a multi-touch real estate that spans across 4.5 inches. This 16:9 touchscreen renders clear visuals in 1280 x 720p resolutions.

“The mobile industry is evolving around LTE technology which has demonstrated its capability when it comes to speed, efficiency and reliability. With the Optimus True HD LTE, we want customers to understand that LTE isn’t just about the network and that all LTE phones are not alike,” stated Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

The device draws power from a dual core CPU that processes at a speed of 1.5GHz and allows users to launch multiple applications at the same time. Although it ships with the Android Gingerbread mobile platform, the company will be releasing the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the phone in the future. The manufacturer has also thrown in an 8MP camera for photography enthusiasts.

The LG Optimus True HD LTE release date and price details for Europe and Asia are yet to be confirmed.
