The Videocon A20 and A30 Android smartphone’s price details have gone live and both devices have already hit store shelves via select online retailers. While the former runs the Gingerbread platform, the latter gives users a taste of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. These budget-conscious phones don’t require prospective customers to dig a deep hole in their pockets.
First up is the A20, a medium-sized smartphone fitted with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive multi-touch screen, comes splashed in either grey and silver or white and silver. The Android 2.3-powered device can support two SIM cards at the same time and has been deployed with most of the essential sensors. Needless to say, it can run both 2G and 3G mobile networks for on-the-go internet connectivity.
The gadget with dimensions of 115.8 x 61.6 x 12.8 millimeters, crams in a Qualcomm processor that ticks at 1GHz and 256MB of RAM. It ships with 512MB of ROM and an expansion slot to increase the storage by up to 16GB using a microSD card. It is even equipped with a 3MP rear camera, a VGA front-mounted webcam and a 1350mAh battery. The Bluetooth- and Wi-Fi-enabled handset sports a micro USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting various peripherals.
As for the dual SIM A30, it is graced by a WVGA capacitive touchscreen that offers a multi-touch real estate of 4 inches. Loaded with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the device employs a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm processor along with 512MB of RAM. While users can hoard digital content of up to 4GB on the phone, there’s a microSD card slot as well, to extend support to a memory card of up to 32GB capacity.
The white-colored Videocon phone has also been pre-loaded with applications like Facebook, History Eraser, Gesture Search, ET and more. It is outfitted with a 5MP auto focus rear snapper and a VGA webcam and draws power from a 1500mAh battery. Some of the other features of the smartphone are 3.5G network support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Videocon A20 and A30 are up for sale through Flipkart for prices of Rs. 5,199 and Rs. 7,699, respectively.
