HTC Desire V India price pegged at Rs. 21,999

Announced merely two weeks ago by the Taiwanese manufacturer, the HTC Desire V has already made an entry in India via online retailer Flipkart. However, the device hasn’t been officially released by the company.

The device binges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform customized with HTC Sense 4 and it is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7227A processor that ticks at 1GHz. The front panel is dominated by a 4” 480 x 800p WVGA capacitive touchscreen, while the back panel is fitted with a 5MP camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash features. The snapper carries an F2.8 aperture with a 34mm lens.

For hoarding purposes, the smartphone is equipped with 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard memory and 25GB free Dropbox storage. Additionally, it is bundled in with an 8GB microSD card and it supports up to 32GB memory expandability. It is loaded with a couple of sensors like G-sensor, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. The handset offers dual SIM slots with dual standby capabilities. As NDTV Gadgets points out, it is the company’s first ever smartphone to offer dual SIM capabilities coupled with an Android platform.

The gadget supports USB and Wi-Fi connectivity in addition to GPS, Bluetooth and 3G services. The 3G service is limited to just one SIM card while the second SIM provides only GPRS connectivity. Under the hood; it draws power from a 1650mAh battery. Audio attributes like a 3.5mm audio jack together with in-built Beats Audio technology and FM Radio are included within the handset for music hours.
