The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini has arrived unofficially in the US, and its price details have surfaced through Amazon. Users, who wish to grab this piece of hardware before it arrives through one of the network providers, will have to make it fast considering that there were only 3 devices in stock when we last checked.
The white handset available through Amazon is not backed by a warranty and according to TechCrunch, it is also not compatible with 4G LTE in the country. It will run on AT&T and T-Mobile’s 3G networks. But customers who have its pebble blue version on their wishlist, will have to wait for a little bit longer.
Although it resembles the Galaxy S3, the device in question flaunts a smaller form factor that measures 121.55 x 63 x 9.9 millimeters and weighs close to 120 grams. Its front panel is fitted with a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive WVGA multi-touch display which is capable of projecting high definition images in 480 x 800p resolution. In addition to the screen, the front side sports a VGA webcam for facilitating web conferencing and recording videos.
The smartphone employs a rear-facing 5MP snapper with LED flash, auto focus and the ability to record HD videos. A dual core processor that clocks in a maximum speed of 1GHz calls the shots and ensures multitasking by supporting more than one application at the same time. The device available in the US ships with 8GB of onboard storage and has a microSD card slot for expanding its memory by up to 32GB.
Furthermore, it tags along a microUSB port, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a SIM card slot. The smartphone has already been pre-loaded with Samsung apps, Music Hub, Readers Hub, Game Hub and ChatOn messenger and its Jelly Bean 4.1 platform allows users to browse through even more apps through the Google Play store. A 1500mAh battery has been integrated to provide talk time of close to 850 minutes in the 2G mode.
