HTC Windows Phone 8S price under wraps, release date set for November

HTC Windows Phone 8S

The HTC Windows Phone 8S release date marks the debut of Windows Phone 8 for the Taiwanese manufacturer. Also in this league is the Windows Phone 8X which will grace the stage sometime in November too.

Considering that the phone is melded with the latest Microsoft mobile OS, its exterior has been designed to reflect the platform’s Live Tiles feature. Built within dimensions measuring 120.5mm x 63mm x 10.28mm, it tips the scales at merely 130 grams with battery included. The phone’s exterior is designed uniformly and it tapers at the corners to render a neat finish. It is expected to arrive drenched in shades of high-rise gray, domino, atlantic blue and fiesta red.

5MP Camera

“Pairing HTC’s beautiful new Windows Phone 8X and 8S with our brand is a big milestone for both companies. Together we are offering customers a clear choice and a truly unique experience. I’m thrilled to take our longstanding partnership to the next level,” cited Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft.

The smartphone’s front panel shows off a 4-inch super LCD touchscreen with a WVGA resolution. A beefy Qualcomm S4 dual core processor clocked at 1GHz takes care of all its operations. With 512MB RAM onboard, it offers 4GB of internal memory that can be extended via a slot provided for a microSD card. Shutterbugs can settle for the integrated 5MP autofocus shooter with LED flash and 720p video recording capability. Needless to mention, Beats Audio stays in place to deliver pumped up acoustics.
