Marking the Chinese manufacturer’s first Windows Phone based smartphone in the UK, the ZTE Tania has now arrived at Clove. The online retailer has also announced pre-order details and the probable release date of this device in the country.
Running on the latest Mango OS, the handset will ship unlocked and SIM free from Clove. Sporting a 4.3-inch TFT WVGA touchscreen which displays in a resolution of 800 x 480p, the company claims this to be one of the most affordable devices within this size category. The thickness of this smartphone that bears an interesting handset name measures only 10.7mm.

Last year, ZTE announced its plans to build market presence with ZTE branded devices with the release of the ZTE Skate, Libra and Tureis. Our first own-brand handset to enter the market in 2012 is the ZTE Tania,†commented Wu Sa, director of mobile device operations at ZTE UK.
The rear panel is equipped with a 5MP camera which offers supporting features like autofocus and flash. Embedded with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 processor, the phone includes 512MB of RAM along with 4GB ROM. The 1400mAh lithium ion battery claims to survive a talk time of up to 4 hours or a standby time of 200 hours.
The ZTE Tania price via Clove UK is £249.99 (approx. Rs. 19,470), inclusive of VAT. The first stock due week is expected to read as February 13, 2012.
