Kyocera Digno S arrives in Japan with 4G LTE support

The Kyocera Digno S for Japan has been introduced with support for KDDI’s 4G LTE network. Although its exact availability details have not been mentioned, the company says it will be out through KDDI as well as Okinawa.

The phone in question will come drenched in shades of black, white and pink. Its dimensions are 66 x 134 x 10.8 millimeters and it measures merely 11.6mm at its thickest part. The lightweight device tips the scales at 157 grams, along with its battery. According to the manufacturer, the Digno S is the only smartphone with a screen size of less than 5 inches in the Japanese market to provide talk time of up to 1110 minutes on a single charge, thanks to a 2520mAh battery. Its standby time for 3G is approximately 720 hours, while that in the LTE mode is close to 580 hours.

The Kyocera phone treats itself to Ice Cream Sandwich and employs a dual core MSM8960 chipset that clocks in a processing speed of 1.5GHz. In addition to 16GB internal memory, there’s 1GB of RAM and an expansion slot which is compatible with a microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC card of up to 64GB capacity. The front panel is dominated by an HD TFT display that offers a multi-touch real estate of 4.7 inches. It sports an 8.08MP CMOS camera with features like auto focus and anti-blurring functions as well as a 1.2MP CMOS webcam to facilitate face-to-face calls.

The price and release date of the Kyocera Digno S have not been mentioned as yet.
