The Motorola Atrix HD will soon set foot in the US via AT&T. Potential customers eager to get their hands on this device can pick it up soaked in modern white or titanium. Not too long ago, the company announced its official release in Canada.

One of the key highlights of this smartphone is the built-in Smartactions app that directs customers about ways in which they can automatically adjust the phone’s settings. For example, when on the road, users can switch their device to the vehicle mode. This feature will automatically silence incoming calls and read out notifications, dialed digits, caller details and received messages, voice mails and emails. It will also offer users turn-by-turn instructions so that they don’t lose track in the rush.

“Motorola Atrix HD was designed for people who get excited about new technology, but want it to make their life easier, feed their need for entertainment and make a statement,” asserted Mark Shockley, senior vice president, Go-to-Market, Motorola Mobility. “This next evolution of the ATRIX family delivers a slimmer, stronger, smarter, Android-powered device at a great price.”

At the heart of the device is a 1.5GHz dual core processor, which with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard memory, offers multitasking capabilities. Its front panel is dotted with a 1.3MP sensor that can be used for video chats, while the back panel bears an 8MP camera that features AF, digital zoom and LED flash. Riding on the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, this handset offers a range of connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, HDMI and GPS. To create space for content, it supports memory expandability up to 32GB via microSD cards.

The AT&T Motorola Atrix HD price and release date are nailed at $99.99 (approx. Rs. 870) and July 15, respectively. The cost is inclusive of a two-year contract.
