Although the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate 4G LTE boasts of some sought after features as well as UL Platinum Certification, the phone can be grabbed for a rather pocket-friendly price of $50. It will be amongst the first few devices that will go through the carrier’s eco-rating system this summer.

The phone comes enclosed in a casing that’s constructed using 80 percent recycled material and features low-load energy efficient charger that notifies users as soon as it is completely powered. Its front panel is dominated by a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a 1.3MP camera for video-calling purposes. A primary 5MP imager sits on the rear side of the handset and possesses attributes like auto focus and 720p HD video recording capability amongst others.

“AT&T is committed to developing and supporting products, like the Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate, that enable consumers to reduce their environmental impact without sacrificing features or the ability to enjoy a world-class smartphone experience. We’re working hard every day to empower consumer choice and provide consumers with more options in-store as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability,” commented Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility.

Powered by the 1.2GHz dual core Scorpion processor, the device can recognize voice and is loaded with the AT&T U-verse Live TV. The network provider will also be stocking on cases by Incipio for the phone. These Eco Silicrylic protective coverings with an inner silicone rubber layer and an outer bio resin plastic shell, are made of recycled materials too.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate 4G LTE price and release date stand at $49.99 and June 10. Prospective users are required to sign a two-year customer agreement.
