The Motorola Razr Maxx, an extremely thin and sleek device that was exclusively available in the US through Verizon, will soon broaden its horizons to enter Europe and Middle East. This stylish phone that claims to deliver talk time of about 17.6 hours on a single charge, will go up for sale in the aforementioned regions in May this year.

The Android platform on which the device rides, should ensure a faster user interface, while the 1.2GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM may make for enhanced multitasking properties. The sleek 8.99mm body has been reinforced with Kevlar fiber and its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display has been fitted with Corning Gorilla glass to withstand scratches. And if that’s not enough, the handset as well as its internal hardware has been covered with a splashguard coating.

“Razr Maxx isn’t changing the rules – it’s creating a whole new game. Building on the Razr heritage it combines the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power and an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits. Whether you want to watch hours of movies, or don’t want to worry about charging between meetings, this latest smartphone from Motorola redefines boundaries and banishes the low battery beep to history,” stated Maurizio Angelone, vice president and general manager, mobile devices, EMEA, Motorola Mobility.

The phone comes pre-loaded with exclusive applications like Smart Actions and Motorola MotoCast. These apps should simplify everyday tasks and help users to save up on the battery life. They even facilitate remote access to digital content stored on the computer, while on the move. The productivity tools and enterprise features deployed in the Motorola Razr Maxx are inclusive of GoToMeeting and QuickOffice apps in addition to government-grade encryption.

The exact Motorola Razr Maxx release date and price details for Europe and Middle East are yet to be disclosed. It is expected to be made available in select markets in May 2012.
