A set of five Android smartphones has been revealed by Lenovo for sale in India, all tagged with their basic price information. With model names that read K860, S880, S560, P700i and A60, this lineup may well help the company cash in on the impending festive season in the country. All these handsets have been infused with Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS, except for the A60 which serves the older Gingerbread platform.
Headlining the series is the K860 which carries onboard a quad core 1.4GHz processor and a Mali-400MP 4 cores GPU. It features a 5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display offering 4-point multitouch and a pixel density of 294ppi. An 8MP snapper sits steady on its rear, whereas its front holds a 2MP camera for video chatting purposes. Next in line is the S880 which is a dual SIM device equipped with a 5-inch WVGA screen and a 1GHz chipset. Dual cameras – one 5MP and the other, 0.3MP – can be found on the rear and front, respectively, of the handset which comes in black and white colors.
A 4-inch display has been granted to S560 along with 512MB of RAM and a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor. Another dual SIM model in the range, this smartphone also kicks in Dolby Digital plus sound, and supposedly offers 50 hours of music playback on a single charge. Its camera setup is similar to that of the S880. The P700i included in this lineup is again dual SIM-capable. It holds a 4-inch IPS display on it, along with a 1GHz dual-core processor. A 5MP camera and a 0.3MP front snapper also make their way onto this Lenovo device. The A60 is the last handset in the new series, treating prospective buyers to budget-friendly offerings. These include a 3.5-inch screen, dual SIM support, a 1GHz chip, a 2MP rear snapper and other features.
The new Lenovo Android smartphones have been launched in India by the company, and the pricing information for the devices has also been mentioned. While the K860 and the S880 start at Rs. 28,499 and Rs. 18,999, correspondingly, the S560 is placed at Rs. 14,499. The P700i on the other hand, goes for Rs. 12,499, and the A60 for just Rs. 6,499.
