Samsung Focus S And Flash

November 6 will mark the release of two new AT&T smartphones, the Samsung Focus Flash and the Samsung Focus S. Both these devices will operate on the Mango update of the Windows Phone operating system.

The Samsung Focus S builds on the success of the Samsung Focus which also employed the Windows Phone operating system. With a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, it shows off clear and sharp images. The handset is said to fit comfortably in users’ pockets as it measures just 8.5mm at the thinnest. On the rear it has an 8MP camera, while the front facing one is a 1.3MP type.

“Our customers love Windows Phones which is why we’ve sold more of them than anyone else,” says Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We’re taking our leadership to a whole new level by getting the Mango update to all existing customers and rolling out awesome new Windows Phones.”

The Samsung Focus Flash is physically a little smaller as compared to the previous one, which will make it apt for consumers who go for the compact and concise stuff. The touchscreen of 3.7 inches comes with Super AMOLED display technology. The 5MP primary camera is equipped with auto-focus and 4x zoom. It also records full HD videos at 720p. Enhanced options of connectivity are offered within a 4G enabled network.

Both these handsets will be made available on the AT&T network starting November 6. The Samsung Focus S price reads at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,721), while the Focus Flash can be picked for $49.99 (approx. Rs. 2,430). Each of these devices will also require a two-year contract and $15 minimum data plan.
