Samsung Exhibit II 4G announced by T-Mobile

Samsung Exhibit II 4G T-Mobile has included in its family the new Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone. It will be the first 4G Android from the network carrier to be offered without any contract.

Powered with the Android 2.3 operating system, the Exhibit II 4G sports a marine blue exterior. Needless to say, the Gingerbread mobile platform brings along access to several apps in the Android Market, accompanied by other Google services like Google Maps, Gmail, and more.

“T-Mobile offers a variety of low-cost service plans that, paired with America’s largest 4G network, provide a compelling reason for consumers to step up to the benefits of 4G smartphones,” explained Andrew Morrison, vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA. “The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is the perfect device for consumers desiring a smartphone with robust 4G entertainment and Web browsing experiences – at a price they can afford.”

The device is equipped with a 3.7-inch WVGA TFT touchscreen, which lets users enjoy thousands of popular TV shows and movies through T-Mobile TV in mobile HD as well as Samsung Media Hub. The 3MP rear camera comes in handy for clicking pictures, while the front-facing one supports video calling on the 4G capable network or even Wi-Fi.

To organize personal and business accounts efficiently, the handset also offers synchronization options with Microsoft Exchange, Google calendar and contacts. All these multitasking capabilities of this device are supported by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is currently available in Walmart store with the no-contract offer for a price of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,748). It is expected all over the U.S. by November 2 with a two-year contract plan as well, which will cost $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,461) after a $50 (approx. Rs. 2,437) mail-in-rebate.
