Adding to a suite of themed covers for Apple’s smartphone, Performance Designed Products has now developed the Horde and Alliance iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 World of Warcraft cases, which will enable loyalists to show off their love for the MMORPG. Apt for hardcore gamers, both these iPhone cases derive inspiration from the World of Warcraft themes.
On the rear, the cases feature faction logos representing the Alliance and the Horde. The company conveys that these are the first two cases in the new World of Warcraft line-up, suggesting that there are more to come. Next in the series will be designs based on Diablo and StarCraft games from Blizzard Entertainment.
“One of the things players really enjoy in World of Warcraft is customizing their characters, and these Horde and Alliance iPhone cases offer them another way to bring some of that customization to the real world,” expressed Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “PDP has a lot of experience creating high-quality accessories, and we’re pleased to be working with them on this new Blizzard line.”
Enthusiastic fans can even look forward to such new cases designed for Android powered handsets in the future. At the BlizzCon 2011 recently held in California, PDP released exclusive Diablo III covers for Blizzard gamers. It also gave away 250 limited edition Blizzard Entertainment iPhone cases to attendees as a part of its promotional activities.
The PDP Horde and Alliance iPhone 4S and iPhone cases’ prices are announced to be $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,570) each. Currently available only at pdp.com and GameStop locations across the U.S. and Europe, they are soon expected to roll out in Asia.
