The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, previously released in March finally hits the U.S. market. Having been launched in many countries, U.S. users have had to await the arrival of the device for around five months. Also, its late release into the market may severely affect the product sales as more competitive devices already prevail.

The specification remain the same with the handset still powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8255 Snapdragon processor and running Android 2.3. There’s 512MB of RAM along with a 4.2” capacitive touch screen on offer. Other attributes include Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, HDMI output, 1GB internal memory with external support up to 32GB.

The 8 megapixel camera comes with auto focus, LED flash, GEO tagging and supports HD video capture at 720p. Weighing 117 grams the device is slim and well crafted.

The company has provided the U.S. with an unlocked device allowing users to access any compatible networks. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc can be purchased from the Sony online Store for $599.99 (approx. Rs. 26,621).
