Blackberry Torch 9850 being offered through Verizon Wireless

Blackberry Torch 9850 VerizonThe Blackberry Torch 9850 is being released in the United States through Verizon Wireless. The handset will be made available with a new two-year customer agreement.

The smartphone features a 5MP camera with flash, which can record 720p HD videos. Running on a 1.2GHz processor for high performance and smooth graphics, the device is global ready with quad band support for UMTS, HSPA, GSM, GPRS and EDGE in over 200 countries and 3G speeds in over 45 of them. It operates on the latest BlackBerry 7 operating system and is also Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1 enabled.

The device is provided with a pre-installed 16GB microSD card, which can be replaced with another one having up to 32GB capacity. New with this handset, the premium version of Documents To Go is being provided at no extra cost along with in-built PDF document viewer. This smartphone is also embedded with the Liquid Graphics technology which promises a spectacular high-resolution display. It also offers secure wiping of business information with the BlackBerry balance administrator, which leaves personal information intact.

The BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone from Verizon Wireless can be ordered online with the network provider starting September 8. It is priced at $199.99(approx. Rs. 9214) and will also hit Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on September 15. Mandatory with this device, consumers needs to subscribe to the Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 for monthly access and a smartphone data package starting at $30 monthly access for 2 GB of data.
