The HTC Explorer smartphone which made its way into India about a month ago has hit markets in the UK through Clove. The inclusion of the latest HTC Sense 3.5 adds to the intuitive user interface while the smartphone is said to be ‘designed to make life simpler.’
The smartphone is adorned with a touchscreen of resolution 320 x 480p spanning 3.2-inch. It is powered by a 600MHz processor as well as 512MB RAM. Based on the Google Android 2.3.5 platform, it employs the HTC Sense 3.5 which offers a number of widgets, a customizable lock screen in addition to rendering discrete graphics and animations. The homescreen can be configured to display weather, social media and stock market updates.
This smartphone measuring 102.8 x 57.2 x 12.9 millimeters tips the scale at 108 grams. The device is fitted with a 3MP camera featuring autofocus and built-in LED flash. It possesses 3G capabilities and offers communication options such as Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. Also, this GPS enabled smartphone comes with Proximity, light and G sensors. The 1230mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery is capable of providing a talktime of up to 460 minutes in GSM mode.
Need we mention the mobile device offers access to the Android Market and tags along various Google Mobile services including Google Search, Google Talk, YouTube and Gmail. The multimedia capable phone supports audio and video formats such as wmv, avi, mp3, mp4, wav and more. It allows users to connect peripherals through the microUSB port and audio gears with the help of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The HTC Explorer priced at £160 (approx. Rs. 10,805) excluding taxes, is now available through Clove in the UK.
