U.S. Cellular picks up attractive HTC Desire handset

HTC Desire Phone Previously, we had reported that the stylish HTC Desire will be made available through U.S. Cellular beginning August 27, 2010. Well, the wait is finally over as the company rolls out the attractive HTC Desire handset in the United States. Powered with Android 2.1 OS, the handset flaunts customer-focused programs like Overage Protection and Battery Swap.

The stylish phone is designed with several sleek attributes and adorns a vibrant 3.7-inch Super LCD touchscreen. Photo enthusiasts can capture crisp images with the built-in 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash. Equipped with GPS and Wi-Fi features, the phone enables owners to access the Android Market with around 70,000 apps.

In addition, the phone bundles together apps like My Contacts Backup, City ID, Tone Room Deluxe and Your Navigator Deluxe. Users can now effortlessly access Google services like Gmail, Google Maps and Google Talk instant messaging, and synch their Google calendars and contacts.

Users can purchase the HTC Desire through U.S. Cellular stores and the official website for $199.95 (approx Rs. 9,356) after $70 (approx Rs. 3,275) mail-in rebate with a two-year contract.
