U.S Cellular graces its smartphone segment with HTC Desire

HTC Desire Around last month we reported that HTC will enhance its smartphones with Super LCD technology including the HTC Desire and global Nexus One. Well, U.S. Cellular recently slid the wraps off the HTC Desire which is one of the five smartphones that the company will be introducing this year.

The sleek handset comes pre-loaded with several enticing features like my contacts backup, city ID, tone room deluxe and your navigator deluxe. Enhancing its functionality further, the phone offers access to Google services like Gmail, Google Maps and Google Talk instant messaging, and sync their Google calendars and contacts. Patrons can connect to the Internet through Wireless hotspots at home or while on the go with the help of Wi-Fi capabilities. Upload images and videos effortlessly on several social networking and sharing sites like Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube. The device can be connected to the laptop with a tethered modem data plan.

Alluring users with its trendy attributes, the HTC Desire comes fitted with a vibrant 3.7-inch touchscreen, enabling users to view video and graphics clearly. It subsumes a 5MP, autofocus camera with flash and built-in GPS. Powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the device runs on Android platform thereby offering an enthralling mobile experience. Users can download apps and music, in addition they can browse the Internet and share pictures and videos with U.S. Cellular’s 3G network. Handset owners can also customize their content in the seven-panel homepage.

The HTC Desire will be available through U.S. Cellular beginning August 27, 2010.
