Recently Nokia had announced the Ovi Maps updated with free walk and drive navigation. Now, the company has made it available as a simple download for the Nokia N97 users.
The Ovi Maps update can be downloaded by N97 users with installed phone software version 2.0.x. It will be available via the software update client in the device and one has to open the Applications Folder, Software Update client and select the new Ovi Maps from the list.
Users who have already updated their Nokia N97 to the latest software version (2.0.x) can take advantage of the update. Those users who are using the older version can update it using the Nokia Software Updater.
Some N97 users may not have access to version 2.0.x. Well, the company is expected to roll-out a newer software version soon for the N97. Nokia is said to offer the navigation update to several other devices as well.
