Samsung Wave 525, 533, 723 and Omnia 652 enter India

The bada platform by Samsung has created many enticing mobile phone options for users. The company has recently launched its three latest Wave smartphones dubbed Wave 525, Wave 533 and Wave 723 under the bada lineup and the Windows based Omnia 652 handset for the Indian subcontinent.

The Wave devices are embellished with 3.2” WQVGA TFT displays and 100MB internal memory. Their simple yet intuitive user interface ensures effortless customization, interactivity and social networking support. Users can easily expand the handsets’ storage up to 16GB in addition to the included 2GB microSD card. Multimedia buffs can rejoice on the well-endowed smartphones’ FM radio and music player facilities.

Social butterflies would jump with joy after reading about the ‘Social Hub’ feature which integrates all the messaging options into one consolidated function. Whether it’s the latest celebrity tweet or a friend’s updated status, owners can now know it all. The Wave 533 is further powered by Native SNS applications and proffers support for instant messengers such as Palringo, G-talk, Facebook, Yahoo and MSN chats.

The Windows-6.5 based Samsung Omnia 652, on the other side, comes pre-loaded with ActiveSync for complete access to business push e-mail. It empowers users to organize their personal e-mails on Yahoo and Windows Live as well. Equipped with the Microsoft Office 2010, the device allows professional to view and edit their presentations and documents. Its QWERTY keypad, customizable homescreens and online widget support along with 3G (HSDPA) readability make it a smart handset to own.

The smartphone also includes Wi-Fi for simple browsing on the Internet Explorer 6, Bluetooth, USB and GPS capabilities. Wondering what makes it more enchanting than others? The Omnia 652’s 1500mAH battery renders up to 12 hours of talktime and 600 hours standby time on 2G networks or up to 7.3 hours talktime and 441 hours standby time on 3G. A 2.0 megapixel camera, YouTube apps, Sound Alive, up to 16GB of additional storage support and a 3.5pi audio ear jack are also planked in.

The Samsung Wave 525, 533, 723 and Omnia 652 are priced at Rs. 8,800, Rs. 9,900, Rs. 13,500 and Rs. 10,600 in India.
