Samsung expands bada smartphone lineup with Wave II

Samsung Wave II The bada platform developed by Samsung was last in news with the launch of Wave 723 smartphone. The company has just unfurled its new handset under the same series dubbed Wave II. Based on the bada 1.2 edition, this latest device touts to deliver an unprecedented blend of smart features.

Embedded with a large 3.7-inch touchscreen, this newly unboxed smartphone renders astonishing multimedia visuals at 480 x 800 resolution. Universal compatibility is ensured by its support for various video formats which enable viewing of distinct movie file types. Photography zealots can record HD movies of 1280 x 720p resolution at 30fps with its 5MP AF camera featuring LED flash.

“The Samsung Wave II shows that Samsung never rests when it comes to delivering a truly innovative smartphone experience. Samsung’s success with the first Samsung Wave smartphone did not slow our drive to further integrate social media, rich multimedia and enhanced features. Our customers told us that they would like to have a bigger display and a better input method so we fulfilled their needs,” explained JK Shin, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. “They said they like advanced features so we built more into the device. The Samsung Wave II has really shown Samsung’s innovative capabilities.”

The elegant Samsung Wave II employs 1GHz Cortex A8 Humming Bird processor for seamless multitasking. Music buffs can delight on its 3.5mm audio jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, music player with SoundAlive EQ, music recognition and music match. Access to Social Hub, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, USB 2.0 support, and support for Samsung Apps are also included.

The new Samsung Wave II smartphone is anticipated to be available in France beginning next month. It will eventually be rolled out to other global markets, including Latin America, Southeast Asia, Africa, India, the Middle East Asia and China.
