Nokia enhances ‘Touch and Type’ design with X3 handset

Nokia X3 Handset

We last heard from Nokia when they came up with its stylish new mid-range C5 handset. Now, the company advances its handset portfolio with super slim Nokia X3 which bundles together touch and type features. The phone is a useful combination of touchscreen and traditional 12 button phone keypad.

Designed with various trendy and sleek attributes, the X3 conveniently slips into the purse or the pocket. It is dressed with an aluminum back cover which will come in five exciting colors designed to suit any mood or wardrobe. In addition, it includes interesting features like 3G, WLAN, music player and FM radio. Photo fanatics can now easily capture their special moments with a 5 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom. The Nokia X3’s mini speaker MD-11 now offers music enthusiasts truly enhanced audio quality.

“Innovation is not just a high-end game. The Nokia X3 is a great example of bringing new consumer value to lower price points,” commented Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President of Mobile Phones at Nokia. “With the Nokia X3 we are giving consumers the best of both worlds by combining a touch screen and a keypad in an affordable device. We have given people a larger screen with clear icons and menus plus kept critical keys such as the send and end keys. We’ve also added dedicated function keys for important links like music and text messaging”.

Equipped with dedicated music and messaging keys, the phone offers quick access to engaging Ovi services including social and entertainment applications. In addition to Ovi Mail, owner’s e-mail and chat accounts can be pushed directly to the handset through Nokia Messaging. The highly entrancing X3 will come with Ovi Music Unlimited, thereby enabling patrons to access an infinite range of the most recent music. These songs can be stored further onto the 16GB memory card.

The Nokia Mini Speaker MD-11 can be purchased for €25 (approx Rs. 1,499). The X3 is anticipated to be made available in the third quarter of this year for around €125 (approx Rs. 7,495), excluding taxes and subsidies.
