Panasonic magnifies full HD 3D Viera plasma TV lineup with new GT25 Series

Just few days back, we spotted Panasonic collaborating with Netgear to offer wirelessly connected experience for the Panasonic Vieraline of TVs. Now, the company expands the line of Full HD 3D Viera Plasma TVs with the launch of its new Viera GT25 Series of Full HD 3D Plasma TVs. The stylish series will flaunt the company’s first 42-inch class full HD 3D plasma TV.

The latest series enhances VT25 series of full HD 3D plasma TVs, thereby offering a broader product line which ranges from 42-inch class to 65-inch class screen sizes. Additionally, the company puts forth 85-inch class, 103-inch class and 152-inch class professional full HD 3D plasma models.

“From the beginning, Panasonic has led the charge into the immersive world of 3D home entertainment by offering end-to-end 3D home entertainment solutions including Full HD 3D Viera Plasma TVs, 3D Blu-ray Disc Players, professional and consumer 3D camcorders, the nation’s first suite of 3D TV channels with partner DirecTV, and the authoring of 3D Blu-ray movies in cooperation with the Hollywood studios,” remarked Henry Hauser, Panasonic Vice President, Merchandising, Display Group. “The debut of our Viera GT25 Series of Full HD 3D TVs further expands our portfolio of 3D offerings and makes it even easier for consumers to join the immersive world of Full HD 3D for the home.”

The Viera GT25 Series bundles together several innovative features found on Viera VT25 models. These attractive features subsume Panasonic’s proprietary IPTV functionality, Viera Cast which sports USB connectivity for addition of a wireless LAN adaptor, keyboard and USB memory. The Viera Cast allures users with Amazon Video-on-Demand, Netflix, Google’s YouTube, Picasa Web Album, Bloomberg, Pandora, Twitter and a weather service, and Skype. In addition, Viera Cast’s seamless interface enables quick keyword input and enables users to access favorite content with utmost ease.

The Viera Link feature allows users to manage compatible audio and video products simply with the help of one remote. This enables owners to add a network camera to the mix. The THX Certified Display certification ensures that every Panasonic full high-definition 3D TV displays motion pictures and television content with advanced quality. The GT25 also features 600Hz sub-field drive, 1080p full high-definition resolution, 1080 lines of moving picture resolution, Viera Image Viewer, 24p cinematic playback, and the latest fast switching phosphors. The convenience levels are further augmented as this elegant range includes 2D to 3D conversion which flawlessly converts a 2D image or video into 3D.

The TC-P42G25 can be purchased for $1,699 (approx Rs. 79,353) while TC-P50GT25 will make users shell out $2,099 (approx Rs. 98,025). Both models are anticipated to hit shelves in late August, 2010. Apart from this, the Active Shutter 3D Eyewear, which is required for viewing 3D content, is sold separately.
