RIM BlackBerry Tour smartphone through Sprint 3G network

BlackBerry Tour Smartphone Research In Motion (RIM) has launched its new BlackBerry Tour smartphone in the US through 3G Sprint network. This BlackBerry smartphone is also available globally through other high-speed wireless networks.

It ensures reliable, smooth voice and email communication. One can use the instant message facility on Blackberry Messenger or other popular IM services or even the MMS feature of the smartphone to send videos and pictures.

Users can easily access social networking sites like Flickr, MySpace and Facebook. The phone is also apt for business purposes as it offers quick access to mails, calendar, location-based services, contacts and robust business applications.

The BlackBerry Tour smartphone features high-resolution (480 x 360 at 245 ppi) display, intuitive trackball navigation, corporate and personal email with attachment viewing, integrated address book, full-QWERTY keyboard, microSD/SDHC card with 16 GB of expandable memory. It also comes with 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, variable zoom, flash and image stabilization.

It is pre-loaded with Sprint TV, Sprint NFL Mobile Live, Sprint Music Store, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile. This smartphone bundles up hi-fi media player, support for Bluetooth stereo headsets, integrated GPS and 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.

Sprint is claimed to have signed roaming agreements with the network carriers through which Blackberry Tour operates globally.

This RIM Blackberry Tour smartphone will be available later this summer at the Sprint stores and through their official website for $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,540) with a $50 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate, a new line of service or eligible upgrade and a two-year service agreement. One can also call their contact center to purchase the smartphone.
